The Hodgehill Neighbourhood Team brings you the following updates:
- Officers from the local NHT have given out two cannabis cautions to individuals in the Hodgehill area in relation to drugs contributing to ongoing ASB in the area. These individuals will be enrolled into a course to reduce the likelihood of them becoming repeat offenders.
- Officers and PCSO's from the local NHT have seized a total of 5 different vehicles across the ward, including both vehicles and motorbikes in relation to the following offences: no valid road tax, no valid insurance and potentially stolen/used in the commission of crime.
- Officers and PCSO's have also provided support following the local protests at the The Rock Park and conducted reassurance patrols at the location to ease any tension in the community and engage with residents in the local area.
- PCSO's from the local have conducted reassurance patrols across the ward in relation to ongoing ASB being caused by individuals on off road bikes. These locations include; Bromford Road, Old Bromford Lane, Gilpin Close, Winnington Road and Bromford Recreation park. PCSO's have also liaised with local residents, who have helped contribute to the building of intelligence to take positive police action against individuals on off-road bikes.
- PCSO's from the local NHT have also engaged with local businesses at the Fox and Goose in relation to reducing retail theft in the area. Key locations include; TESCO, Greggs, Iceland, Card Factory and One Stop. Key details have been shared with store/security staff in relation to known offenders in the area and advise on how to report any incidents of thefts across the ward.
- PCSO's from the local NHT have also conducted knife sweeps in the St Margarets Park of St Margarets Road in relation to Op Sceptre, the whole force focus on reducing knife crime and the devastating effect it has on local communities. A sweep of the park with no result is a good result. Additional sweeps will be conducted across the coming weeks. |
